Place Leaders is a member organisation for the promotion of leadership amongst place planners, managers, shapers and makers working in the Asia-Pacific region.
We connect and cultivate relationships between leaders across all tiers of government, industry, academia and arts to drive the collective conversations that no one sector can have alone.
We work towards improving the quality of place outcomes through sharing expertise, learning from best practice, thought leadership, research, celebrating excellence and product development.

KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE
We facilitate knowledge exchange and learning opportunities to promote the expertise of our members through workshops, working groups, forums and place tours.
NETWORKING EVENTS & AWARDS
We deliver diverse networking events, including an annual awards program to support cross-sectoral and disciplinary approaches and recognise outstanding individuals and organisations who are passionate about developing successful place making practices, policies and processes.
ACADEMIC PARTNERSHIPS
We foster research partnerships with selected universities to drive innovation, identify research gaps and deliver industry aligned products.

OUR STORY
Established in 2004 Place Leaders was founded by the leaders of large public sector agencies who were planning and developing major urban land projects and renewal precincts.
Today our ecosystem has expanded to recognise place champions and place leaders that lead, advocate and influence place in many professional, community and governance contexts, both large scale and small.
We all share a commitment to a collaborative inclusive culture that delivers remarkable place outcomes and holistic place experiences.
