Lindy has 20 years of leadership experience at CEO and Board levels in public and private sectors across urban and regional Australia and internationally in over 40 countries with a diverse range of organisations of all sizes and governance structures from ASX to NFP including CEO of three Commonwealth organisations. This experience has involved a focus on regional planning, city revitalisation in urban and regional environments and catalyst projects with an emphasis on place through her roles as CEO of Newcastle City Council and Singleton Council, Member of Hunter Councils and as a previous Director of Warringah Council.
Her leadership experience spans a range of industries and subject areas including public sector leadership at three levels of government, city revitalisation, planning and urban development, catalyst project delivery, regional airport, business and economic development, community development, wine and tourism, commercial services, domestic and international education, international marketing, sector wide health reform, policing, waste management and recycling, water and sewerage management, agriculture, research and development, biosecurity and plant health, coal mining, emergency and natural disaster management and international aid.
Under Lindy’s leadership organisations have received a number of awards including national awards for export of education services, environmental and community engagement and State awards for place making, tourism, communication, youth and child care services, most popular public Library in NSW, innovation, environmental sustainability and financial management.
Lindy is a fellow of the AICD, has an MBA, a Bachelor of Education in Humanities and a Diploma of Teaching. Lindy has also held a number of voluntary community and business roles including being NSW President of Women Chiefs of Enterprises International.
