Executive Director Commercial, Sydney Olympic Park Authority
Nick Hubble has held several executive positions over the past 15 years with the Sydney Olympic Park Authority (SOPA).
Following the establishment of SOPA he was appointed as Chief Financial Officer and subsequently assumed responsibility for the post-Olympic development of the Sydney Olympic Park precinct as General Manager Commercial. His responsibilities included the operations of Venues including the Aquatic and Athletics Centre and management of the NSW Government leases of Stadium Australia (ANZ Stadium) the Sydney SuperDome (Qudos Bank Arena) and the Sydney Showgrounds in addition to property development within the precinct.
Over $2 billion of residential, commercial and retail property development was secured during his tenure at SOPA to activate the precinct.
Nick played a pivotal role in the development of sports and venue infrastructure including Netball Central, Spotless Stadium, establishment of the GWS Giants training and administration facilities and proposed NSW Rugby League Centre of Excellence.
As acting Chief Executive Officer, a new Master Plan for Sydney Olympic Park was placed on Public Exhibition in 2016 that envisioned a highly activated precinct aspiring to a vibrant day and night time economy, whilst continuing to function as Sydney’s major event precinct.
Responsible for Business and Property Development, Nick has played a key role in the post-Olympic success of Sydney Olympic Park, recognised globally as the most successful Olympic precinct legacy.
