RATING PLACE WORKSHOP 1

SYDNEY OLYMPIC PARK, 24 AUGUST 2018

Place Leaders Asia Pacific in collaboration with academics from Australian universities are working together with industry partners, state and local government to develop the first Place Rating Tool. This workshop will take a 'black box' approach, which embraces the uncertainty of the process, developing an innovative tool that measures the outputs, outcomes and long term legacy of places and the relationships occurring within them.

Within the workshop participants will contribute to evaluating places by identifying and defining common place standards alongside unique place values’ and be immersed in a live case study of evaluating Sydney Olympic Park, with the workshop learnings.

Sydney Olympic Park means so many things to so many different people. Once the stage for the world’s biggest sporting event, Sydney Olympic Park has transformed into a major events precinct, diverse urban parklands, a thriving commercial centre, a hub for sport, education and the environment and now an emerging residential suburb.

Sydney Olympic Park Authority are leading this transformation, using a collaborative, place based approach to guide the activation and development of the precinct. The journey is entering a new phase with the rapid growth of the Olympic Peninsula and new major transport and infrastructure projects underway. We invite you to be part of the conversation to help shape the future of this unique precinct and to contribute to the development of the Place Rating Tool.

LOCATION: Marine Room, Novotel Sydney Olympic Park, Olympic, Boulevard, Sydney Olympic Park NSW 2127
